Hi,

Sorry for not responding sooner,  your email must have dropped in the spam bin.  My email address receives a lot of spam email and unfortunately legitimate email can sometimes fall through.  Keep the word Carcraft in the email subject and it will get to me.

I knew, and was expecting you to bring this against me.  Let me point out two things.

Firstly,  I did take the car for service at 6000 miles, however, the garage I took it to was not VAT registered and I did not realise this at the time.  I then booked it into FIat, in which time I had to wait for the a vacant slot with it being the run up to christmas.  As I rely on my car, I had no option but to carry on using it, and MAY have gone over the 6000 mile marker.

Secondly, Carcraft lied on the Warranty form and stated my car had done 43000 miles, when in fact I have an MOT certificate to say it had done closer to 43700 miles.  As a result, there is no pure evidence as to what mileage the car had done when I took delivery of it.  For all I know it could have been out for test drives every day, or used by staff, or loaned to someone who could have clocked it up a lot more.  Therefore I can quite rightly claim the car was nearer or over 44000 miles when I took delivery of it. I expected paperwork to be accurate so in hinesight maybe I should have paid more attention to the mileage when i first got it.  I only had a rough idea when 6000 miles was up.

As a result, I believe you should honour the fact that I have kept to the warranty agreement.  I believe this is an attempt by you to once again wriggle out of your responsibilities and turn the book back on me.  This is exactly the same attitude Tony Dunstell had and I am not putting up with it.

I have reason and evidence to believe that my car did not have an advertised 120 Point check pre vehicle inspection.  I was sold a car on the basis that if things went wrong I would be covered and that it was in good condition.  If I can proove in court that you did not perform this inspection (lack of paperwork on your side) then I have every right to return the car for a full refund of all expenses paid out on it, as well as compensation.

I might as well have gone to a back street garage and purchased the same vehicle for half price.  I expect a better customer service and better protection in case of failure from these much bigger companies.  So far you have given none of this.  The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.

May I re-assure you, I do not intend stepping down on this issue.  I will take it all the way to court if I have to.  I will inform every single consumer group of my story for others to read.  I will publish my story on as many medias as I can find for all to read.  I will tell all my friends, all my work collegues, all my family about this, whom will tell all their friends, all their family, all their collegues and so on.

I am a very easy going person, but this has tested my patience.  All I ever expected was to get that Turbo Unit replaced and the rear break cylinder sorted.

Back to you.

Yours sincerely,

Andrew
