The 120 Point Vehicle Inspection Check. One of Carcrafts advertising selling points is the 120 Point Vehicle Inspection Check that they do on all cars. I personally found it rather difficult to get any further information on what this inspection check was. What did they actually check? I asked Carcraft for a copy of mine and after a bit of silence and confusion I was told it was an internal document. A reader of the site found a copy of their pre-vehicle inspection check in the glove box. Carcraft must have accidently left it there as this is not normally given to the customer. He scanned it in and sent it to me. For legal and copyright reasons I am unable to post the form to this site. But I have typed up the detail of what Carcraft are supposed check on the vehicles before they are given to customers. The document was given to me in February 2004, and as such there may have been changes, removals and additions to this list. Therefore this shouldnt be taken as absolute. I will leave it up to you to decide on how 'Comprehensive' this check is. But as your reading it, look out for the same check in a different category, and notice how the valeting of vehicles is also included in the 120 point check. Also notice how alot of the checks are also done during the MOT. Count how many of the checks are related to the mechanical function of the car and how many are the appearance of the car.
